About the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation

HISTORY
In 2005, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation was established.  The Foundation was charged with overall fundraising efforts, securing additional naming rights dollars for the new facility, outlining educational programs and identifying future fundraising strategies.

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre’s leadership recognized early on that a venue of this significance would have a profound impact on the area.  With this in mind, a commitment was made to leverage this impact for the purpose of education.  Eighteen months prior to the Centre’s opening, the Education Advisory Committee was formed.  This active body, comprised of educators and arts professionals, shaped the initial education program now known as ARTSBRIDGE and continues to guide its rapid growth.

The Centre operates as a world-class facility, creating diverse cultural, educational and entertainment experiences that promote accessibility to the arts; foster community partnerships that unify the region in support of the arts; fulfill the highest expectations of patrons, performers and employees; stimulate quality economic growth; and inspire individuals to continually increase their knowledge, patronage and financial support of the arts.
